Outreach
We connect with local shelters and meet potential patrons where they are, in person whenever possible.
RISE helps people facing homelessness move toward meaningful, sustainable employment — with practical support, real connection, and someone in their corner.
Vancouver-based • People-first • Community-powered
↓RISE follows a simple, personal six-step path to help patrons turn their experience and potential into a new beginning.
We connect with local shelters and meet potential patrons where they are, in person whenever possible.
We build trust, learn each person’s story, and explore the skills and opportunities that fit them best.
We offer practical advice, résumé support, and workshops that help people sharpen their strengths.
Together, we create a clear résumé, seek suitable openings, and provide clothing for the next step.
We reach out to employers and help patrons enter work through accessible first opportunities.
After employment begins, we check in and explore what comes next: stability, housing, and belonging.
We believe support should last beyond the first interview — because a new beginning deserves room to take root.
People experiencing homelessness are human beings with stories, strengths, and the right to a second chance. RISE is a Vancouver, BC initiative committed to creating practical paths back into work and community.
Founded by high school students who wanted to take meaningful action, we’re starting with care, listening, and a belief that opportunity can change a life.
We are beginning to build a community of employers, organizations, and supporters who believe in dignified paths to work. Interested in partnering or sponsoring RISE?
